英英辞典読み 53ページ目：Arabicからarchetypeまで
今日も楽しく英英辞典読み！
今日も上記サイトで学ばせて頂きました。
- 08「someone's cup of tea」⇒個人の好み、お気に入り
- 09「go up in smoke」⇒計画等が、泡と消える。完全に失敗となる。
英語表現を学んでいると、文化や風習に根付いた言葉（cup of teaのように紅茶が例えに出てくるのは、紅茶好きな英国っぽいなと思います）、視覚から連想される表現（go up in smokeって、まさに煙のように計画等が立ち消えるイメージですよね）が多くて面白いな、なんて思います。
